About Cameroon Business Review
Who we are and why Cameroon needs this
Cameroon Business Review is a business intelligence publication focused exclusively on Cameroon's economy, companies, and investment climate. We exist because the country's business story is underreported — not for lack of activity, but for lack of a publication willing to cover it with the rigour it deserves.
We cover the sectors that drive the economy: oil and gas, agriculture, fintech, real estate, infrastructure, and a growing technology ecosystem that more people outside the country should know about. We cover the policies that shape it: monetary decisions from BEAC, investment codes, regulatory shifts that determine whether a business succeeds or fails. And we cover the companies themselves — from multinationals operating in Douala to startups raising their first round in Yaoundé.
Our readers are people who have real stakes in how Cameroon's economy develops: founders making strategic decisions, investors running due diligence, analysts building models, and policymakers who want to understand how their counterparts in the private sector are responding to their decisions.
In English and in French
Cameroon's bilingual identity is not a footnote — it is fundamental to how we operate. The interface, the navigation and the business directory are available in both languages, and articles are published in both where we can.
The Business Repository
Alongside the publication we maintain a directory of companies, startups, NGOs and institutions operating in Cameroon. Any business can claim and verify its listing. Verified businesses receive a public trust badge, and companies that provide proof of formal registration receive a second, higher one. The directory is free to search, free to claim, and built to be useful to anyone evaluating who is operating in a given sector.
We hand out badges conservatively. A verification tier that is easy to obtain tells an investor nothing, which would defeat the purpose of having one.
Our standards
Editorial coverage is not for sale. Featured listings are editorial choices, not paid placements. We correct errors openly — see our editorial standards and corrections policy.
