These terms govern listings in the Cameroon Business Review business directory. They are separate from, and additional to, our terms of service.

How listings are created

Most listings were created by us from public sources — company registries, published directories, press coverage and companies' own websites. A listing existing does not imply the business asked for it, endorsed it, or has seen it. Every such listing is marked Unclaimed so that is clear to anyone reading.

We publish only business information: name, sector, location, description, and public web presence. We do not publish company email addresses or telephone numbers, and the seed data deliberately excludes them.

Claiming a listing

Anyone who represents a business may claim its listing. Claiming is free and always will be. You confirm your email address, tell us your role, and take control of the profile. Approval is granted by a person, not automatically.

A claimed listing carries the Verified Business badge. That badge means one thing precisely: the owner has taken control of the listing. The information on it is self-reported and we have not checked it against documents.

Registration verification

A claimed business may submit proof of formal registration in Cameroon — an RCCM certificate or equivalent legal registration document. Our team reviews the document. If it is accepted, the listing carries the Registered Business badge.

Documents submitted for verification are visible only to our administrators. They are not published, not shared, and not used for anything other than the verification decision.

We may decline a verification and will give the reason. We may also revoke a badge if we later find the basis for it was inaccurate.

What you must not do

Claim a business you do not represent. Submit documents that are not genuine. Use a listing to advertise something other than the business it describes. Any of these ends the claim and may end the listing.

Accuracy and corrections

We do not guarantee that any listing is accurate, current or complete — particularly unclaimed ones, which reflect public data at the time we gathered it. If you find an error in your own listing, claim it and correct it. If you find an error in someone else's, tell us through the contact form.

Removal

A business owner may ask for their listing to be removed and we will act on a verified request. We may also remove or suspend a listing where it is duplicated, where the business has ceased trading, where the information cannot be substantiated, or where a listing is being misused. Suspension hides a listing from the public without deleting the record.

Featured listings

Some listings are marked as featured and appear higher in results. At launch this is an editorial decision and cannot be bought. Should that ever change, featured placements will be labelled as paid.
